I'd like to do some shopping while in NYC as well.

Just a question, are sample sales usually all size 8? I'd read that somewhere a few years back, and I don't want to spend my time going to places where I won't fit into anything. Thx for any info.

When I was in nyc last december, when you bought anything in gap or banana republic, they gave you a disscount ticket for the next purchase in either of them. Unfortunally I found out when I had done most of my shopping!! Does anyone know if this will be on this year??

Carlota, those discount cards at Gap/Banana Republic/Old navy haven't been around in that form for a while. But, 3 or 4 times in the past 2 months, I got an offer on my receipt in all of those stores for a 10% discount if I filled out an online survey within 5 days of my purchase. It seems to come out randomly, bu the sales clerks always tell you about it as the receipt is given to you

Klam chowder, I was at a bunch of sample sales in Soho last year and the sizes were all over the place. Not like when I was a kid and they were all for models who weighed under 90 pounds!
