NYC Restaurants - Help!

Heading to NYC for the weekend with my two girlfriends and need restaurant suggestions! Lunch on Friday @ Soho? Friday night - great food, fun atmosphere (not stuffy), maybe some celebs, good place to stay after dinner for a few drinks? Saturday night - great place in theatre district for pre theatre dinner? Good place for a few drinks after the show? Please help!

A couple of suggestions:
Dinner on Friday night, cafeteria on 17th and 7th fits your description. If you go, try a blueberry mojito, you won't regret it.
After theatre drinks on Sat. try the Ava Penthouse lounge, at the top of the Majestic Hotel on 55th and Bwy. The rooftop terrace is breathtaking.
Have a great time!

It's Labor Day Weekend so most New Yorkers will be away -- significantly reducing your low chance of seeing any celebrities.

Go down to the Lower East Side or East Village for the hot spots -- Palador, WD-50, etc. Check old threads for ideas.

Oh, forgot to mention, the Theater District is lame. After your show, hop in a taxi and get the heck out of there.

$#*@&!! That link didn't work. Search for "Restaurants in Manhattan" from a few weeks ago started by "JoeG." Everything you need to know should be in that thread.

Enjoy NYC!

For Friday lunch in Soho, try Zoe's on Prince Street (212-966-6722). Excellent.
For dinner in the theater district, here are two suggestions:
Chez Josephine on 42nd Street, just west of 9th Avenue (212-594-1925) or Le Madeleine on 43rd Street, just west of 9th Avenue (212-246-2993).
Both are excellent. Call right away. You may already be too late for pre-dinner reservations, but it's a holiday weekend, so you might luck in.

Cipriani Downtown: last week Yoko Ono (Well, not exactly a big celebrity but interesting anyhow) sat next to us. Cynthia Nixon was also there at a different table. ( We thought it interesting as she sat behind us at Nine the night before.) This was actually during an early dinner hour (8 PM, at least for NY)
