Thanks for posting, Dohlice. I was just about to post the same. I hope some people can make use of the opportunity.

I'm finally trying One if by Land. We couldn't get one for the 21 Club. :(
|
We went to One if by Land... several years ago. We liked it. It was cozy. Have fun!
|
Last summer we went to Cafe des Artistes for lunch. Food was very good (not to die for), nice atmosphere, and Barbara Walters walked in to a table around the corner where she was being interviewed. We had a nice time.

One of the new contestants from Top Chef is from that restaurant. I've been meaning to look it up.
For anyone visiting during this time it is a really great deal even if you can only get in for lunch. |
Mom and adult daughter in NYC 20-25 July. First priority is getting rest of theatre tickets. Next, thanks to restaurant weeks, we want to try some great restaurants. We will, and have, eaten everything. Got Club 21 for lunch 20 July, and One if by Land 23 July for early dinner. Any other suggestions for not to miss? I am continuing to research, but am afraid "golden gems" will be booked by the time I read everything. Thanks

If you can get Grammercy Tavern for lunch I would go for it. I've been dying to go there. I also considered Spice Market. I've read mixed reviews on their food but the interior is stunning.
We're also going to the Mesa Grill. Great Southwestern flair and it's "older" so it's easier to get in. |
Thanks, Dohlice. Grammercy Tavern is still not bookable for our dates. We now have Club 21, One if by Land, Cafe de Artistes, Fleur de Sel and Osteria del Circo (daughter's choice).I'm hoping to get Cafe Boulud tomorrow, for our museum day. Since we are booking through Open Table, it's easy to switch if something to die for comes open.
