In answer to some questions above:

www.gothambarandgrill.com will show you the current $20.01 menu and its availability.

It's not necessary to spend $$$ to "experience" Gramercy Tavern. a0 You can have lunch in their dining room for less than the dinner prix fixe price. b) The front, "tavern" room is much less expensive. It is much less formal and has a different menu that is served continously from lunch through late evening, plus a really great afternoon-only meu with afternoon tea sorts of things. FAor the tavern room menu, apps are $8-12 and entrees $12-18 (he most expensive, at $18, is filet mignon). They don't take reservations, and between 6:30 and 9:30 you should be prepared to wait, though you can also eat at the bar. While the menu is more casual, gthe food is still top notch, and GT has some of the top desserts in the cuty. Dinner for two in the tavern room recently, with three courses each, one cocktail and two glasses of wine, was $105 brfore tip.

IMO, Rosa Mexicano is behind the other places here for food quality. The west side location gets very crowded and noisy, so I think east side is preferable. Look up both addresses on zagat.com or yelow.com.
