I need help finding a moderately priced restaurant near 50th and 5th(walking distance would be great).

Three questions:
1. What do you consider "moderately priced"?
2. What type(s) of food?
3. What do you consider an acceptable "walking distance"?

those were my questions too. I'm not too sure where you're from - but a moderately priced meal in NYC is generally a lot more expensive than most people think. Expect to pay between 15 and 25 a plate for dinner at what I would consider to be a moderately priced meal - especially in that part of town.

Moderately priced to me is $20-$30 per person. Types of food - pretty open although I'm not a big seafood fan. Italian, Asian, American, etc are fine.
Walking distance would be within 6-8 blocks - approximately.

Les Restaurant Sans Culottes East near the NW corner of 2nd ave and 57th is a bit out of your walking range but worth it. It is a country French place that is well within your price range and IMO one of the best values in the city and a lot of fun. Put "Culottes" in the search window for a more complete description.

Does that $20-30 limit include tax, tip and drinks? Your answer, naturally, makes a big difference in the recommendations.
