NYC: Replacement Piano Bar for The Pierre?

I love going to the bar at The Pierre in NYC. It is cozy, clubby, and classy. It has someone playing the piano and singing standards. All this and you can get a good burger with your glass of champagne. Unfortunately, it is closed for remodeling and won't be open when I visit in 2 weeks.

Any recommendations for a replacement? The piano, late night snack, and atmosphere are essential elements.

The Cafe Carlyle or the Oak Bar at the Plaza

I grew up going to the Pierre and look forward to the reopening of the hotel and it's new restaurant.

Thanks Andrew! I had already been planning on going to Cafe Carlyle and forgot to mention it in my post but I hadn't considered the Oak Bar, which is spot on.

Not sure of your exact date, but Kelli O'hara the Broadway star is going to be singing at the Cafe Carlyle from March 31st to April11th. She is fantastic, and if your visit coincides, I would not miss her.

We ended up going to Bemelmen's Bar at the Carlyle and it was terrific. There was a jazz trio and I think the cover was something like $25 per person. It is a beautiful room and dimly lit and very louche in the absolutely best way. Very New York.
