NYC Pre-Theatre Dinner Reservations...

My wife and I will be going to The Drowsy Chaperone on Thursday, January 4th at 8:00PM. We'd like to eat at ViceVersa before the show. What time would you recommend we make our reservation at ViceVersa so we're not rushed getting to the show?

Drowsy Chaperone is at the Marquis, on Broadway between 45th / 46th, and ViceVersa is on 51st between 8th / 9th.

Thanks for the help.

It will take 10-15 minutes to walk from the restaurant to the theater, depending on your pace and crowds. I would reserve for no later than 6:00pm so I could have a leisurely meal and walk calmly to the theater.

Make them for 6 p.m. and you'll have no problem. Its staff is used to getting people to the theater on time!

Thank you both for your responses!

Be sure to tell your waitstaff that you have tickets and they'll pace your meal accordingly.

Enjoy!

Yes, 6pm will give you loads of time at ViceVersa. A couple of weeks ago, I ate there and time for a leisurely cup of coffee after dessert and still got out by 7:30.

If I have show tickets, I'll usually tell the waiter or waitress. 6:00 will, as suggested, give you more than enough time.
