Will any stores have their Christmas displays in their windows by mid-Nov?

The major stores with well-known window displays (Lord & Taylor, Sak's, Barney's, Macy's) are usually revealed the week before Thanksgiving. With those dates, I think you might just miss them.

No - you're too early - the windows will likely be covered then while they install the massive, complicated holiday displays.

Probably the major displays won't be up yet, but alot of the stores in the area will have decorations up, and they seem to start the begining of November, so you should see a bit of decorations. All the stores will be selling chrismas items by then, that's for SURE.

Yes, INSIDE stores will be in full Christmas regalia by then, including their Chrsitmas decoration departments. Macy's extensive "Holiday Lane" Christmas decoration section should be in place by mid to late October.
