NYC: New Amsterdam Theater seats
These are my choices (wish I'd booked earlier): Row D, seats 9-13 which I think is the worst choice, Row V, either center or right seats but none on the aisle, or front row mezzanine. I did a search here and looked at the seating chart so I'm leaning toward front row mezz, but I am bringing a short person (8yrs. old):). What do you think?

I think saying that you are bringing a short person confirmed even more what already would have been my choice -- front row mezzanine. No heads in the way to block. I'm not real sure about a rail or other obstruction on that particular balcony, but if yours is like most 8 year olds, he/she will be leaning forward anyway for the whole show and would be able to see between.

The New Amsterdam Theater has booster seats for kids which raise them 6-8 inches. Just ask an usher for one as you enter the theater. You may want to arrive early, as sometimes they run out of them.
I'd go for front row mezzanine where you can see everything much better for a large cast musical. |
Thanks Patrick and djkbooks. I purchased the front row mezzanine seats.
