I guess if you are serious then you've never been to NYC.Don't recommend tooling around on a scooter.

Yikes! Mote! That is a crazy idea-I live in NYC, and lots of folks are startng to use these to get around, but if you don't know the streets (translation: POTHOLES) you are taking your life in hand, (are you Evil Knievl's nephew?)
Lots of crazy drivers here who aren't afraid of running red lights and darting in front of you.
I don't know of a rental place for motorbikes in the city. There are places you can rent bicycles though, in Central Park....

Most Harley dealers will rent a Buell Blast or maybe even a sporty. Not sure if that meets your expectations of "motorbike" or if you meant like a mo-ped. Or maybe Kevin Spacey will let you borrow his scooter. There's a dealer at 57 & Lex though I don't know if they rent. Give 'em a call. I thought it was ridiculous to ride in NYC but a lot of people do enjoy it, I see plenty of bikers downtown and there's even an HA clubhouse on E9th.

If you are used to NYC traffic - go for it. If not, don't recommend this - few drivers recognize your right to exist - especially many of the kamikaze cab drivers - unless you plan on staying well away from any traffic.

OK guys, I got it, no one recommends renting a motorbike, all right. I drive mine all year round here in Mallorca, and we have potholes too, believe me. But the truth is that apart from being a good idea, the practical side of it is ? nothing.
You know what I?ll do ? I?ll rent a car for Sunday, 9 am till 9 pm, that?s a huge 12 hour time to go here and there. I?ll head to one outlet, and here I need your support . . . Woodbury commons or Jersey Gardens ??. Considering the coach fare for two is 38 $, for some 30 more I have a car all day, not mentioning I hate public transportation, I can go there in a shorter time, be there exactly the time I want, buy loooots of things ( specially my wife ) and still have enough time for visiting another places. Where should I go ? Brooklin, Bronx, ? any comments. For sure traffic will be quieter on a Sunday, but anyway, I drove 2.000 miles last year in CA & NV including LA & SFO and heavy traffic would not be a problem for me.
All right guys, what do you think ?
