NYC jazz clubs
 

I'll be in the city April 30 (a Monday) and leave May 4th. Typically I visit the Village Vanguard or the Blue Note, but the Vanguard has no acts scheduled that week and the Blue Note has nothing scheduled for Tuesday, May 1. Any other great spots in Chelsea area or the Village, or actually, elswhere for great jazz? Thanks

Have you checked Terra Blues? Less money than the Blue Note and I've caught some great bands there.

Small's is our favorite. It's tiny (hence the name, I suppose. ha.) but so great.

I don't know if you are limited to the 1st of May...but at the Blue Note, Cassandra Wilson performs from May the 2nd and at the Iridium, Kenny Garrett performs , beginning the same day...
