NYC itineray help?

Arriving at JFK 6pm from Texas 3/23 friday. Plan on taking the taxi to our hotel...Salisbury. The trip is a girls trip to run the More Half-Marathon in Central Park on Sunday. This is what I have planned so far...
-Friday no dinner plans yet, considering La Bonne Soupe

-Saturday morning Gray line Bus tour- Downtown loop, attend race expo at Metropolitan Pavillon (125 West 18th street), lunch suggestions near the race expo?? afternoon another loop of bus tour, Dinner at Tavern on the Green-Pre-race pasta party. I usually don't do tours but want to be off of my feet before I run 13 miles.

Sunday morning-race at 8am, and then Sunday Brunch and a nap. Brunch suggestions near our Hotel?? Another loop on the tour. Attend Mass at St. Patrick's at 5:30pm. Considering jazz or early night. Most likely an earyl night.

Monday morning-Cruise Line 2 hr cruise at 10am, Subway to Brooklyn to Grimaldis for lunch, walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Will try this weekend to make reservations at the Tenement Musuem...? what time. Evening Top of the Rock or Empire State Building. Dinner 50-75pp ???

Tuesday-Time Square and Mid-town, buy 1/2 price tickets for the evening, window shop 5th Avenue, Frick Museum and Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, evening show.

Wed-the Met and Musuem of Natural History-we have a 7pm flight out of JFK.

Food-we are open, love ethnic food, ....I want to eat where the locals eat.

Mesa Grill is pretty close to the Metropolitan Pavilion, for lunch/brunch
on Saturday. You do need reservations.
Prices at brunch (which includes egg dishes, burgers, etc)are much much cheaper than dinner or even weekday lunch prices, look at the menu here
http://www.mesagrill.com/brunch.htm.
Large portions, great muffin basket included

Check the web site of the Tenement Museum - tenement.org - I think they are closed for tours on Monday, which is whenyou have it listed - I could be wrong - but I think the bookstore/film/ticket office is open but they don't run the tours -
which are definitely worth it !

Also, here is a link to some interesting info for a self guided walking tour of Brooklyn Bridge, - tehre are many on teh web, but this is one we used

What other options do you suggest besides the bus tour on saturday to see some New York and stay off of our feet?

I forgot that the tenement musuem is closed on monday. Decided to not to do Gray line tours because of the rain forcast..not sure what to do. Will look into smaller private bus tour.
