NYC Hotel Room for 3

Hi Everyone! Planning a trip to NYC for 5 (1 couple & 3 singles) in May. Originally had planned on using priceline until we added another single person and I know PL can not guarantee to accommodate more than 2 in a room. Anyway, I'm looking for a midtown hotel (we will be going to theater etc. at night and I have to think of getting everyone back to the hotel and hoped we could just walk back instead of the impossible task of finding 2 cabs. . . ) that has triple rooms for $150-$165 a night. I know, this is an extremely limited budget. No problem finding the double, but the triple is proving to be tricky. I've been searching websites but wondered if any one had a similar booking situation and could offer advice. Thanks in advance - Chris.

Radio City Apartments may fit the bill for price and size. They have rooms with a double bed in the BR and a futon couch in the LR that folds out into double bed. My daughter and I stayed about 3 - 4 years ago and it was about $120 per night back then. Iy's on 49th a few blocks east of Browadway - an easy walk from the theatres. It's clean, safe and spacious with a kitchenette and dining table but the decor is dated. All told, a great value for midtown if you can get it for $150 or less.<BR>

Chris, our party of three has booked the Belvedere Hotel on 48th (between 8th and 9th) for $140/night on express-res.com. We thought that was a good rate considering the room has two doubles and a kitchenette. We had planned on using Priceline as well but with three of us, did not want to have to book two rooms. Reviews of Belvedere seem quite favorable.

Yes, but do you need 3 beds? If so, an apartment for all 5 of you might be best.

Owen &amp; Vicki, thanks so much for your quick response. I'm off to check into both locations, and of course still open to other suggestions.
