nyc hotel question

We have reservations at the Renaissance in August for $340 for 2 nights. Can also reserve the Mariott Marquis for $340. We can get the Barclay for $270. Is the Renaissance worth the difference? Thanks in advance.

Your prices sound high. Go to epinions.com and/or tripadvisor.com for reviews Try quickbook.com for better prices. If you choose Renaissance or Mariott get a high floor for view & less noise.

Renaissance is new in Times Square. The Barclay is more old world Ny in a quieter but still central location.

A New Yorker would pick the Barclay but you might prefer being in TS

If the prices you quote are for each night, then it is high. However, if those are the total for the two nights, then they're okay for those properties.

The Renaissance is beautiful and if the rate is $340 for two nights, that's an excellent price. Another great hotel in that area is the Doubletree Suites.

Yes, those prices are for 2 nights- Thursday and Friday.

We made reservations a few months ago for the Mariott Marquis for August and got a rate of $199/nt thru Expedia. We had to pay the full amount in advance though. The cancellation fee is $25.
