NYC hotel HELP!

I am taking my husband to NYC for our 10th Anniversary. He's never been. I have reservations at 4 different hotels and am having a difficult time deciding which one will be the best and most romantic. Here they are:
The Mark - $285/nt.
The Waldorf Towers - $269/nt
The NY Palace - $240/nt
The Plaza - $325/nt - jr suite, rec. by a friend

Hi Carrie, If you believe in Travel magazine writers, they give the Mark a higher rating than the Plaza but if it were my trip, I'd go Plaza all the way! Ive never seen The Mark, but the Plaza drips with class.

sorry I can't suggest a hotel but I was wondering if you could help me, you see we are from australia and are planing to celebrate new years eve in times square, but we can't seem to find anyone who can reccomend a upmarket hotel that has balconies with doors that open onto Times Square allowing a veiw over the celebrations, the reason we need to be looking down is we have wheel chairs therefore it is hard to see, so.... after your trip with your husband (hope you have fun) could you keep your eyes and ears open for a really nice hotel and email us so we could track them down and make a booking thanks so very much terry O'Riley

Carrie: I've seen your posts on the AOL board. You are needlessly overwhelming yourself with obsessing over the details of your trip. Just check the hotel recommendations here at Fodors, go to www.180096hotel.com and re-review Fodors recommendations. By then, you will be able to intuitively select a facility which appeals to you, is well located and falls into your budget.

Hi Carrie,
You can't go wrong with any of these hotels. They are all very upmarket hotels. I think you have decide where you want to stay. The Mark is in the Upper Easr side (mainly residential + upmarket shops + The Met, Guggenheim and Whitney museums are all in the area). The Plaza is in Central Park South which a great location for shopping around 57th St + 5th Ave. The Palace and the Waldorf Towers (nice suites) are also in the east side midtown area. Have a great time.

We live on Long Island and many weekends in NYC. Stayed at a really great hotel a few weeks ago that might interest you. Its the Rhigha Royal Hotel at 151 West 54th street, right in the middle of one of the best shopping, eating, sightseeing areas of NY. The hotel is all suites and is only a few years old.Phone number is 800-937-5454. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail
