I too think the Palace is nicer than this Omni. Based on wha tyou want to do/see I would avoid Times Square at all costs - frantic and tacky.

The reason I mentioned the 3* was to calrify as someone recotheKimberly - which is nothing like any of the other we're talking about.

There is a huge Hilton on 6th Ave and 54th? - but it is an older hotel and I'm not sure how recently it has been upgraded or what types of upgraded rooms they have. It is a solid business class hotel - but huge and without a personal feel.

So, Omni or Palace?

( Fra, pls refrain from commenting. You think you are being humorous but you are not. Please go to another thread with your silly comments.)

Go to the Palace, it's nicer, bit more formal, same neighborhood. Omni should save you a few dollars though. Did you look at the photos of both on oyster.com? That might help you decide. It's only for one night, right? Any of the suggestions made would be nice. Have a good time. ~ Bow.

What'd you decide, OB?

Fra-Diavalo: Sorry, but was your comment directed at me? Odd remark, no?

Bow,
I believe Fra was just being silly. If directed to anybody, in particluar, his comment was probably directed to me so, don't worry. And, I don't care!

I have not decided yet!

The possibilities in your price range are endless. Either throw a dart at a board to pick one or give us a better description of what you'd really like. Right now we have no way of knowing which of the many hotels mentioned (plus more) would suit you best.

Oh, but OB1 (Kenobi?) never told us which hotel she chose! Two years now I've been waiting . . .

Yeah, I got caught too. The Hilton was nice enough for us. With a hotel room that expensive, he can cab it to Bloomie's!!
