NYC HELP!

Long story short. I now have to purchase my own hotel in NY for May 4-7. I was staying in Midtown East. Please offer some suggestion around 275-300 per night. We have 3 adults. We are going to the theater, eating at Daniel's, Met Museum of Art and the Frick. We will also wander around Central Park. I am trying to provide as many details as I can.

Well with 3 you can't use Priceline. Have a look at trvelzoo, kayak and some of the other sights to see it offering what sort of discounts. And be sure you say 3 adults - assume you can use 2 double beds.

If there are 3 of you in 1 room, $300 on those dates is a tight budget.

Courtyard Midtown East is $299/night plus tax (~15%) for a king with sofabed.

A few of the Affinia.com hotels are ~ $300/night (Affinia Gardens probably best option)

Thanks! I will try Courtyard Midtown East.

Try the Hotel Grand Union on E32nd, nice amenities and the room is large enough for 3 and should be below your budget.

There are some rooms at the Courtyard Midtown East that have two queens plus a sofabed, so you should ask. We've stayed there and it's great - not fancy, but the rooms are huge for Manhattan, and I really like the location.

Well....you may tell me this is horrible but we had a friend who got us a great deal on a skyline room at The Gotham hotel, so we booked that one. It seems really nice - we will have to get a roll-away, but it does have a Terrace. Again, thank you so much for your help!

Sounds wonderful...good location.

Are you sure they have roll-always - many Manhattan hotels don't - and they wouldn't fit in the room even if they had one. I'd check if I were you.

Agree that unless they have specified availability of a 3 person room with roll-away - it is likely you will get a room with one double bed and no place to put a cot. And who want to have to sleep on one?

They did...we checked. Thanks for the advice! Actually my Mom is so tiny she could even sleep on the sofa.:):)
