NYC HAIRCUT
For some reason, there was no option on the post w/the same name to reply.
I have color done at Lepine and I am very happy with it. I was never crazy about their haircuts. I get cut at Ziba on 57th St. If you go ask for a master stylist on the 1st floor. Everyone who leaves there looks great! |

What is the price range for a cut & style at Ziba? I'm due for a hair makeover and my regular stylist isn't gutsy enough! |
bugswife, if you're looking to straighten your hair I can wholewheartedly, absolutely, unequivocably recommend the Momotaro Salon on 645 5th Avenue (2nd floor) - the Olympic Tower. 212-759-2392.
I know it seems like a pricy location - but I had my hair straightened there by Nori last April. IT IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF. It is GREAT. People at my sons' school (big deal private school on the Upper east Side - you get the picture) came up to me for months after, asking about it - many have said it is the best job they have ever seen. And I haven't had to straighten it since then! More then a year later, my hair is still straight and doesn't frizz up in this weather. It is a miracle. Last year's prices were $400 for credit card, #350 for cash. Incredibly nice people, limited English - but experts. Really worth it. Good Luck! |
Thanks. I am going to stick with Hayato though. My sister-in-law's hair looks great. They charge (are you sitting down?) $230. Yup. They are all Japanese, only a few of them speak English, and they are nice as heck. Plus, it is a very convenient location for me. They are reputable, have been in business for 12 years and have 2 shops in Tokyo. www.hayato-ny.com
