NYC Flea Markets

We will be visiting NYC on November 9th for a one day shoping trip! I heard there was a huge flea market that is only open on Fridays or perhaps Friday is one of the days that it is open. Does anyone have any information on this, or any other good flea markets or secondhand shops. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You.

Most of the flea markets are open on Sat/Sun.

There are very few vendors at the Bowling Square market -- it isn't really worth a trip unless you'll be in the area anyway.

There's a flea market on Sundays on Columbus in the lower 80's - sort of behind the Museums of Natural History. It covers a large school yard and also has booths inside. But frankly, not worth the trouble.

If you're thinking of the kind of street markets that you find in europe - this is nothing similar. Mostly selling home made tscotckes of little interest.

Perhaps Hells Kitchen is what you are looking for. We had a fun time when we went. Prices were pretty good we thought.

The flea market on Spring Street really isn't one.

There are booths with jewelry but then there are clothes - think $60-$80 tops, not really flea like....

Thank you for all of your suggestions. We will only be there on Friday. It is a "red eye" shopping trip. So it looks like the one in Hells Kitchen is out. Its only on the weekends. I will have to visit there on my next trip. It looks like a good one though!!!!

In Soho, in the general area around the spring street market, there are vendors all over the streets selling some interesting items, especially on the weekends.
