nyc dinner
Can you tell us the top restaurants in NYC for a nice weekend.
Thanks Nuno |
NYC restaurants in one of the most discussed topics on this forum. With literally thousands of restaurants in NYC, I suggest you do a text search and then return with more specific questions.
Other resources are Zagat's and Citysearch. Good Luck! |
Gekko is correct. Also check chowhound.com. If there is a particular type of food, neighborhood or price range you are most interested in we can help narrow it down. ALso realize that many of the 'top' restaurants book a good month in advance (unless you want to eat at 5 or 11).

you should look in to the rainbow room, il buggato and supper. the latter two do not take reservations and are on the lower east side. fabulous places for dining with great atmosphere. expect a wait every night of the week. but there is a nice wine bar on the same block as both these places where you can wait and they will come get you.

I thought the best one was that one near Times Square...

With literally thousands of restaurants in New York--at least hundreds of which would be considered a top restaurant by many--you're not going to get any more definitive advice than you've already gotten.
Buy a copy of Zagat's and digest it! |
There are "bests" in every neighborhood, in every culinary category. New York has thousands of best restaurants. Narrow it down for us and we can help for sure...
Best Hot Dogs? Grey's Papaya! |
I've not eaten at all the top restaurants in Manhattan but I've eaten at a lot of the great ones. The Rainbow Room isn't even close.
March is my favorite. If there was ever such a thing as a perfect meal, this was it. Gramercy Tavern and Babbo are also up there. Daniel also gets props for being close to perfection. |
This website lists the menus of all the NYC restaurants. Should be helpful.
