NYC bachelor party!!!

I am planning a bachelor party in NYC and need a hotel in a central location, which is not too expensive, has decent room sizes, and fairly liberal about the amount of noise coming from the room. I know this place probably does not exist but if anybody has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

hmmmm...I think that I agree with you but thanks for stopping by the US board!

Take the above with a grain of salt but seriously...who do you know who wants a room at NYC prices who is going to be "liberal" about some other guest intruding on their sleep time?

I dont see why you need to be making noise in your room, when the bars in NYC stay open until 4am! Just go out!

I don't think such a place exists, particularly regarding the noise factor. Also keep in mind, most NY hotel rooms are very small, especially the 'bargain' places. Most generally have 1 bed, and a night table with little floor space to maneever.

I think you may want to take your party elsewhere if you plan on hanging out in a hotel room and being rowdy.

I doubt if anyone is going to recommend their favorite hotel in NYC-- for fear they'll be put in the room next to your bachelor party. Really, take it outside, boys!
A fun place for a party is Sushi Samba 7, in Greenwich Village. They have a rooftop area with music. lots of twenty-somethings enjoy it there. Great drinks, great food and service. We recently hosted a 21st birthday party there that was a huge success.

NYC hotel rooms, particulary the cheap ones, are tiny.

As for noise, try one of the huge Times Square nightmares -- they may not notice or care about a little noise, since guests are treated like tourist cattle anyway.

I think my BF went to a bachelor party in a hotel room on Staten Island once. Someplace in the outer boroughs is probably your best bet, if you're really set on NYC... Or else take your party to a "gentleman's club".

(As to why yankees23 wants the party in a hotel room instead of at a bar or club, think about it - though I'd rather not! )

Unless you're all under 21 and can;t get a drink legally go to someplace where people are not payuing to be able to sleep.

What's the matter with one of the thousands of bars in New York? Or a strip club if that's what you want?

If you want more than you can get there - I think you're on the wrong board.

The “outer borough” hotels are also for sleeping. Unless you mean some no-tell-motel with hourly rates. You can still find those on the West Side.
