NYC AREA GTG
 

Has anyone any interest in trying to get a NYC area gtg going for say October. It's such a lovely time to be in the city. Any interest ?

Darn. I'm usually there in October, but can't go this year, so I won't make it back to the city until March/April.

We like to head up for a weekend to visit our daughter, would certainly like to include a GTG if possible...October is an iffy month for us, though, as our son MIGHT finally get back from Iraq and that obviously has first priority over any possible travel. :)

I'll be in NYC from Sept. 19 to Oct. 17. Sounds good to me.

GTG is a new one for me as well but I'm guessing it's "get together".

This, of course, is interesting to me as I am in NYC. Looking forward to seeing the details as they develop.

It means Get Together . I would be willing to try and arrange one for the NYC area. They have them in so mnay other places, I have actually been to one in Paris. Thought it might be nice for all of us int he area to meet and chat and have a nice meal or drink somewhere

We do this fairly often in DC -- it is a great deal of fun, and has provided an opportunity to share photos and travel tips to EVERYWHERE!

I work in NYC & I'd be interested in attending & assisting with planning, if needed. Let me know.

I'll be interested if I'm not on the road for business at the time.

I'm interested as long as it's after working hours!! ;-) Plus I can drag along my co-workers who have done a lot more travelling than I have! Any details, let me know! Might be good to pick a place that doesn't require stiff reservations or that isn't TOO crowded!

Let's start with a suggested date and go from there.

A good venue not expensive and big tables would be America on 18th St, and if more people arrive, we can just add tables on.

Just a thought.

Yes, mrsbu, what's happening? I'll be in NYC from Oct 29-Nov 5 and not only would I love to attend a GTG, I could bring news from the SF GTG on Oct 18!
