NYC April 15 with 12-yr.old
Hello, my daughter and I will be in NYC April 15-16 to see the Rosie show. My daughter's never been to NYC before, I've been several times. In the unfortunately small amount of time we have, we are going to hit the Statue of Liberty and walk down to a Broadway show that night. Any recs on the show? I think even at her age she would enjoy the Lion King. Is it possible yet to wait in line at the box office for this show? Also, I am trying to get a reasonably-priced, small, clean and safe hotel room nearby. Any recommendations here? I see that the Waldorf Astoria has a low rate. Thanks for any help.

She will love 42nd Street, and you will have a much easier time getting tickets for that instead of Lion King. You may also consider Oklahoma, but I found it to be rather slow moving. Sorry, can't help you with the hotel issue. Instead of Statue of Liberty which will chew up the whole day, take her to Tiffany's and the Plaza Hotel and work your way through Central Park to the Met? She will get to see much more that way. You could even squeeze in The Empire State Building after the show as they are open until 11 PM.

Skip Rosie; she's a vial individual who is part of the problem, not part of the solution. <BR>

Obviously the above should have read 'vile' and not 'vial.
