NYC- advance tickets MOMA, Top o' Rock?
 

Should I buy these in advance online or are they pretty easy to get in person? I notice MOMA has a special offer for museum admission plus Top of the Rock for $30 but these must be purchased in person.

I swore I'd never stand in line again for the ESB, this is why the Rock appeals to me.

Also 2 years ago when MOMA hd just reopened the lines were horrendous and I was glad I had advance tickets. But I hate to pin myself down for a specific day on this trip.

We will probably go Dec 4,5, or 6.

And a TKTS question: has anybody seen A Chorus Line or Drowsy Chaperone available? Doubtful huh?

The Drowsy Chaperone was available last week.

At this website(http://www.tdf.org), you can find out what was recently at TKTS, but, of course, that's no guarantee for when you'll be there.

I wen MOMA last spring and when I rounded the corner of the building I was dishearted by the long line. It went ou
the door down the block and then zig and zag in an ally. It was the only day I had so I stood in line. Once the doors opened I was amazed how FAST it went. They really had there act together. JUst get tickets when you go.

No need for advance tickets to Moma. Too bad you aren't going on a Friday night it's free from 3-8 p.m. on Fridays (sponsored by Target). The lines aren't bad and everyone in line gets in.

Agree no need for advance tickets for MoMA or Top of the Rock.

Have not seen any discounts for Drowsy Chaperone and Chorus Line just opened. If you canp;;t get tickets from the official on-line site (and I very much doubt you can) you'll need to try a scalper. We usually do stuhub.com and they usually seem not so outrageous as some of the others.

You could also try ebay and Craig's list - but check carefully to be sure the sellers are legit and the tickets real.

I purchased MoMa tickets in advance. Unlike some pre-purchased tickets, they were not for a particular date, but instead were for any of the five days we were in town. I was glad we had advance tickets since there were lines.

Opinion please - should we buy tickets in advance if we want to visit MOMA on Easter Sunday morning April 8th?
