NYC 9/11 Tour - best options?
Leaving for NYC in a couple of days and just decided to make time to see the 9/11 memorial. We won't have time for more than about 2 hours. What are my best options for last-minute reserved, timed, skip-the-line tickets for Saturday or Sunday morning? Can't do it in the afternoons or evenings. I've done some searches but haven't found current (2017) advice.

A quick google search will give you ticket options. You can research from there.

You can book timed tickets on the museum website. (Access to the grounds and memorial is free; it's the museum where you must have tickets.) If you're looking for this weekend, there are still tickets available for Saturday and Sunday morning.

2 hours for both the Memorial and the Museum us going to shortchange you.
We spent over 3 hours in the Museum alone. |
The Memorial is outdoors and takes only about 30 minutes, although you can stay longer if you want.
TheMuseum you need advance timed tickets and will take about 3 hours to visit and see most things. Also open in the evenings if you are running out of daytime hours. |
Did NYC in Aug 2017 and saved the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for our last day in the city. The best piece of advice we received was to get there early!! Turned out we were the 1st ones in line on the day we went Monday, 8/14. This was great because we spent over 3 hours there and as the day went on the crowds got bigger and you had to move around more people to see everything. Very moving experience.
