I'm not clear on precisely what you are trying to buy. The web site shows Pedestal-access dates are available for every day in July and August except for July 4th weekend. I doubt very much if anyone has access to Crown tickets at this point for the rest of the summer. Is it that your preferred times are not available?

Free and cheap is walking:

Do the Brooklyn Bridge 1/2 way over from Manhattan and return for the killer views of NYC.

Eat in Chinatown (read others above)

Do Staten Island Ferry........skip Liberty Island (this one will bring some reactions I am sure! :-)

Walk Central Park from 59th and fifth ave entrance.

Quick lunch at a Bazillion Pizza parlors

Do Top of Rock/Rockfeller center.......skip Empire State bldg.

Broadway Shows selection at 1/2 price TKTS. (will not be the latest but there are still some great shows out there)

Enjoy the safest BIG city in America (at least that is what they tell me!)

Two years ago, we spent just 3.5 days in NYC. Yes, we bought the City Pass and actually all six tickets. We got lucky with both the Empire State Building (night, after dinner at Keens) and Rockefeller Center (day), as the waits were pretty short.

For all the subway rides we took, we did a lot of walking. That was part of our fun, too. Seeing everything, the buildings (yes, we craned our necks like tourists, but we were leaning against a building and out of the way of pedestrians), the people. It was great. For us. Most of my family would’ve been utterly bored doing what we did--and they can’t understand why we’d want to return and explore the Public Library more or Grand Central, etc. Different strokes....

Sorry - I think Crown tickets go about 3 months in advance, except perhaps in midwitner - very limited number versus the 50 some million tourists we get.

I saw several eating tours for Brooklyn. Do you think that would be easier than trying to find places myself and get around in a timely manner. It lasts about 4 hours stopping at 4 places. I also saw Viator had a night tour that looked really good. You go to High Line Park, cruise the harbor, eat in Little Italy and go to the top of the Rock at the end. I could never navigate all that without help. $99 per person. I don't usually do tours, but I would like to see as much as possible. Opinions...suggestions..? Thanks for all the input.
