NYC 21st Birthday Weekend Trip, What to do??

I am the birthday girl and am truly excited about my weekend trip to the Big Apple being 21! What I am looking for out of my weekend in NYC are some extravagant off broadway shows, an exciting club that offers culture other than the local techno DJ(martini bars, swing clubs, or retro dance preferred), and any vegetarian restaurants. Any suggestions on these?? I am also a shopping freak and would like to know some of the more trendy, young places to go shopping!! Any other suggestions on how to make the most out of my weekend would be much appreciated!!
Happy Birthday Marsha!

Try ny.citysearch.com and www.sheckys.com for clubs and restaurants. Also www.zagat.com for vegetarian restaurants. A couple are Angelika's Kitchen, Hangawi (Korean) and Zen Palate.

Shopping: H&M, Zara, Canal Jeans, Club Monaco... etc. Check Soho, Prince Street, Fifth Ave for shopping.

I just topped a recent posting that has several suggestions for the same birthday girl.

The top of the Marriott Marquis in Times Square has a wonderful rotating bar/restaurant. Go in the evening before the cover charge for a drink and you will love the view. I think that is actually the name of it, "The View". Well worth the $7+ drinks.I agree about Soho for trendy shopping. Don't hesitate to take the subway, either. It is much faster and cheaper than the cabs. Probably safer, too.

For 80's dancing, check out Culture Club. For 70's, try Polly Esther's.
