Interesting article bonnie...thanks for posting it. You are still my hero chica--your attitude during your vacation this summer spoke SO much about who and what you are--a glass half full kind of person. ((f))((f)) ((f))

Wow - this will really affect those of us owning homes along there too. I guess we'll be doing more museums, pools, Mote Acquarium, and Myakka State Park sooner than spend the time on the beach.

I remember in the spring how severe the tickle became. I had not been bothered by it and one day, I started coughing and kept it up each time I did my beach walk. For someone with asthma it could do some real damage.

Well perhaps it's time for everyone to get out there and huff and puff and blow the darned thing away!!!!

I went to our beach property Saturday after my tenant left. I did not notice the Red Tide at all nor did my husband. Then when I called the tenant she said they left early that day because the red tide was bothering them. So I know it's there but I didn't smell it at all. This has happened to me once before when it bothered my husband but I didn't feel it at all. And the beach was fine, we did see one needle-type fish but nothing else. There was a lot of foam on the beach and we wondered if this was because of the oil that ended up in the Gulf from Katrina.

I read the article in my Sunday paper. I hope my snowbirds don't dump out on me.

OO, you do say the sweetest things! :-d Thank you .... How's that sweet grandbaby of yours? I know you love him to pieces! I'll bet I can kiss my grandbaby (almost eight now!) more times in an hour than you can!!! :p

Getting ready to go to New England for her 8th birthday in about a month. They grow TOO fast! :-(
