NY Theatre

Has anyone seen a good, new play that they want to recommend? Will be in Manhattan for a couple of days over Xmas and I would like to see a play or two. By the way I do mean plays, not musicals; something like Doubt.

THe reports we're hearing about the season on B'way is that the theatres are doing very well, so I would suggest if you want to see a particular show, get tickets before you get here.

www.playbill.com will give you the list of current shows.

You also might want to look at the NY Times online for theatre reviews.

Have a great time while you are here.

"Suddenly Last Summer," technically "off Broadway" because it's in a very intimate theater, is excellent and received good reviews.

And if you're a Blythe Danner or Carla Gugino fan, even better!

Not at all like Doubt, but "The Little Dog Laughed" is getting rave reviews and I enjoyed it a lot. It's a comedy.

Thanks Gekko and Mike, will check these out. Wss, thanks for the advice; I don't go to a show without prior reservations.
