NY Renaissance faire-accomodations

Hello,

We plan on spending a day or two at the NY Renaissance Faire (Tuxedo NY 8/3-9/15 weekends).

The website lists a few local hotels. We are not familiar with the area, and were hoping for some recommendations.

Website suggests:

Ramada and Sheraton in Mahwah
Hampton Inn, Middletown
Brass Rose and Warwick Motel in Warwick
Cromwell Manor, Cromwell
Caldwell House, Salisbury Mills
New Continental and Breezy Point, Greenwood Lake
Holiday Inn, Suffern
Caren House, Monroe

We will be six - eight adults (no kids). Would like accomodations that are also near other attractions, restaurants.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Suffern is 6 miles from Tuxedo. In addition to the Holiday Inn there is the Wellesley Inn and Suites - 800 444-8888

Forget Middletown - it is a 30 mile drive. Suffern is 6 miles from Tuxedo and is the closest of all the places mentioned. In addition to the Holiday Inn there is the Wellesley Inn and Suites - 800 444-8888. Other places range from 8 to 16 (Warwick) miles away.

Forget the Warwick Motel too.
Ramsey, NJ is very close too.
There is a Best Western called the Inn at Ramsey that is also very nice. Great rooms and a nice restarant attached called Company B's

The Sheraton in Mahwah is quite nice with glass elevator and rises over 20 stories. You can see for miles from the upper floors. The on-site restaraunt is so-so, but the hotel is on busy Rt. 17 with many other places to choose from.
The Suffern Holiday Inn is 3 floors and they are located around the center-court indoor pool. You must go past the open-to-surroundings pool in order to get to your room. The atmosphere can be quite noisy and the air is full of the chlorine smell. MAny kids were ruuning around and we heard them quite clearly through our door. (we were right near the game room).
I can't comment on theother hotels you listed, but if you are only adults, the Sheraton Mahwah would be much nicer.
Both hotels are right off of the New Yor State Thruway which can then lead you almost anywhere!
