NY movie theatre

Similar to the Matrix post, are there any theatres in NYC that sell reserved seats? By that I mean, you get a ticket that says "Row 10 seat 12" and you can show up 5 minutes before the movie startes and take your seat. I'm also asking for the Matrix opening, before you ask, why would anyone need a reserved seat.

sorry..dont know of any....but...wouldnt you also want to know the size of the screen? In some cinemas you might not mind row 10 if the screen is small..but in larger cinemas...row 10 might be in keanu's crotch.

There are some people who, should they find themselves in Keanu's crotch, will think they have died and gone to heaven.

I believe Chelsea Cinema on West 14th (or 23rd - I always mix them up) has assigned seating.

Do you know what theatres will be playing The Matrix? I would go from there.

The only theatre that comes to mind that has reserved seating is the Zigfield.

You of course can order tickets online for performances to be assured you can get a particular show, we do that all the time.

The Zigfield has reserved seating. Plus it's the biggest screen in NYC.

Or you could go to the cinema in Battery Park City. Though it doesn't have reserved seating, it's out of the way so it's never packed with people. I have gone there opening night for blockbuster films, got there 5 minutes b/f the movie started, and always got a decent seat.
