NY Deli's, Carnegie Etc.
 

Do the Deli's in Manhattan do take-out? I have looked at the menu's on a few and haven't seen whether takeout is extra cost etc.?

Yes, all delis in NYC do takeout and it doesn't cost extra. Some even deliver.

I hear that Katz's deli is also very good.

skip second avenue it is a glorified greasy spoon. go to barny greengrass.

Barney Greengrass is not a deli. They do serve some meat sandwiches but their speciality is smoked fish. The sign for the store reads "Barney Greengrass The Sturgeon King".

Second Avvenue is worth the trip to New York all by itself
