NY Broadway: which scalper?

I'd like to buy jersey boy tickets, and have come to accept I can only buy them through scalpers. is there one paticular website that anyone can vouch for?

thanks!

One last hope. Have you checked with Telecharge for Premium seating for the $250 or so? They are sometimes still available and better seats than you get for the same price from scalpers.

Definitely follow NeoPatrick's advice. Relatively speaking, you'll probably get the best price.

Do you live in the NYC area or are you staying in a hotel in New York? If you are staying at a hotel you might want to check with the concierge. When I was in NYC in August, the concierge originally said they could tickets for us for $250 each. I decided that I didn't want to spend that much. The next day they called and had ticket for $150. As you can imagine I grabbed those up quickly. Don't know if you can call the concierge ahead of time or if you have to wait until you are checked in. I would assume that hotels have access to these type of tickets on a regular basis but you'd probably be taking a chance that you wouldn't get a seat.

thanks all. problem is the premium seats are close to $800 for 2. I would be happy to pay $250ea for good seats, but $400 each is tough to swallow. scalpers have some that are in $200 range, but again, not sure about which ones are "trustworthy".
i will look into concierge option, thanks.

I would definitely call your hotel and talk to the concierge. Although you might be able to get a better price, I doubt they can guarantee you tickets.

You've explained the reason Jersey Boys remains one of the few Broadway shows I haven't seen. Even renting for a full month early this summer just one block away and making several early morning trips to stand in line, the best I could do seemed to be split horrible seats for a couple hundred each. Buying regular advance tickets was laughable. Twice they did have day of performance premium seats at $250 but only one each day they had them.

I was unaware that Telecharge has upped their regular premium seats to $400 each! I thought that was a new thing with Young Frankenstein!

Actually now I'm confused. According to Telecharge premium seats are $301.50 for all performances except Fri. and Sat. when they are $351.50.

I just checked at random for mid October and immediately found 6th row center -- 2 seats on Wed. Oct. 17 for a total of $618.50.

I doubt you could do better, but don't know when you are looking for.
