NY Botanical Garden

We shall be in NY at the beginning of June. Our hotel is near Rockfeler Center We would like to walk on Brooklyn Bridge. Is a good idea to visit then Brooklyn Botanical garden, or is better to visit it in Bronx, folloed by Zoo there?
Is BG in Brooklyn far from the Bridge?
Where are more beautiful flowers and nicer alleys, in this in Bronx or in Brooklyn?

The walk from the Brooklyn Bride is not that pretty a walk. Each Botanical Garden has its own character.

The one in the Bronx is most easiest reached by taking Metro North directly to the Gardens.

I am not sure what you mean by nicer alleys.

The Brooklyn Botanical gardens is 3 miles from the Bridge. The 2 or 3 train takes you to the entrance.

The Brooklyn Museum is located right next door to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and Prospect Park is not far away.

The New York Botanical Garden meanwhile is not that far from the Bronx Zoo, Edgar Allen Poe Cottage, and the Arthur Avenue neighborhood.

Not sure if proximity of these attractions will make a difference in your decision or not between the two botanical gardens.

If you go to the Bronx it will be difficult to see the Botanical garden and the zoo in one day - both are huge. And MetroNorth (train from Grand Central) is the easiest way to get there.

We did both gardens on a trip to NYC last July.

One day we took the subway to the wonderful Brooklyn Art Museum and the Botanical Garden--to which there is an entrance right next to the museum.

Later in the day we took the subway to Brooklyn Heights. We walked through this lovely neighborhood and then back to Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a lot of walking, but we like to walk (and there is no better way to see NYC).

The zoo is fabulous, but, as others have said, it takes a complete day to see.

The New York Botanical Gardens are sprawling and hard to understand. If you go, have in mind what you want to do while you are there. (In contrast, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is easy to grasp.)
