NY at Christmas TR
I just spent last weekend in NY to do all things Christmas. Here's my trip report.

Nice report!
It looks like you and your friend had a magical time! Your hat is great! I LOVED the Rockettes! |
The Christmas windows in NY (and Chicago) have been filled with mechanical Christmas fantasies since my childhood many years ago. Visiting them each year was a Christmas tradition in our family along with the Rockefeller Center tree. I've continued that tradition with my children and grandchildren

annesherrod - thanks! I need another excuse the wear the hat now.
HappyTrvlr - I think that's a great tradition. For some reason the windows just weren't what I expected...not even sure where my expectations came from! Patrice |
Great Girlfriend weekend. We were there 2 years ago, as NYC at Christmas was on the Bucket List. We ate at the seafood restaurant there right on the skating rink. A guy and his girl took the ice by themselves, he got down on one knee and gave her a ring. It was something to remember!
(Threw snowballs from Top of the Rock)! |
Thank you for reporting back. I have added your blog to my favorites list!! I would love to see NYC at Christmas some day.
When we were kids, our parents would take us to San Francisco for a few days before Christmas. Magical. We also have done the same with our daughter. Nice traditions to remember. |
Love the hat, Patrice, you wear it well!
Last year I went to see the Rockettes Christmas show for the very first time--enjoyed it so much I'm going back with DH. Love NYC, especially at Christmas time. |
I love NYC at Christmastime too.
Many years ago I received a puzzle of the Christmas tree at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One of the things I had to do one time, was go see the tree in person! I, too, found the crowds at midday just overwhelming. I tried to see what I could in off hours. It sounds like you had a great time. Love the hat! |
