The Sunset Pier at the Ocean Key Resort is fun for outside dining. We also liked Louie's Backyard, Hot Tin Roof, and Latitudes. Agree - Robbie's is fun for feeding the tarpon.

Fish House at Mile Marker 102 in Key Largo. Order the Matecumbe - you won't regret it!

Given that the OP was in the Keys in Jan 2014, they probably missed it. Does anyone ever pay attention to the original posting date?

This info is for those going in 2015... Most of them are still open so often, old posts can still be helpful...

We are now at The Moorings in Islamorada, having arrived yesterday for our third stay in three years. I can report that Ma's is still going strong. The Key LIme Pie is out of this world and one of the best desserts I've had since our last visit a year ago! We plan to return tonight.

If you come from an urban area with excellent restaurants, you may well to strive for the simple places down here, as many others seem vastly overpriced with overly fussy food. Just my take..as I mentioned in my posts, above, from last year.

Clearly frayed_knot must have been searching for something and found this year old thread. Why he (she ?) would suggest something on a year old post I'm not sure.
