Northgate accommodations in Seattle

Is Northgate a safe area to stay in Seattle?

Safe but colorless and pretty boring IMO. Thinking about the Ramada?

Safe, but quite a ways from the downtown area. Unless you are specifically wanting to be in that area (visiting friends) I'd look closer to downtown.

It's a shopping mall basically. Extremely boring area. Surely safe enough. Is there a reason you want to stay up there? If you have a car it isn't all that far from downtown, maybe 15 mins. on I-5 depending on traffic.

I'll add my "ick." It's the most generic and ugly part of this entire city.

And realy not much choice other than the Ramada available..too bad someone doesn't build a nice Residenece INN or Silver Cloud or Hilton GArden Inn...
I stayed at the Ramada a year ago..It was really pretty horrible...
the area is nice tho for shopping retaurants...used to be a movie theatre too at Northgate...

Dennis- I looked at your other posts. I guess if all you want is cheap and you found something at Northgate... well certainly you'd be safe. And if you have a rental car not too terribly far from downtown. And very convenient to the freeway. Just don't plan to find much to entertain you at Northgate area.

The Northgate theater is gone.

Safe, boring, retail area with one highlight: it has a transit center that will make a trip to downtown effortless.
