Northern California National Parks

In the planning stages and need some advice on an itinerary and suggestions on where to stay and routing in July.
Flying into San Francisco, hit the road around noon heading north.
We have a week and want to visit the following parks:
Redwood, Crater Lake and Lassen Volcanic Park ending in Russian River/Sonoma area where we already have accommodations and plans.

That is a pretty fast pace -- is it 7 days before you have to be in Sonoma County?

If so, head straight up I-5 and over to Lassen -- you'll want two nights because it will take more than 6 hours straight driving. Then take 89 and 97 to Crater Lake -- visiting Burney Falls and Mt Shasta en route. Again you'd need 2 nights because it will be a 5 hour drive plus stops. Then via Grant's Pass and 199 to the Redwoods. Maybe stay in Trinidad. Between RNP, Trinidad, Ferndale, Avenue of the Giants and Mendocino another 2 or 3 nights. Then down 101 to Sonoma County.

Off US 199 between Grants Pass and the OR/CA border, you might want to visit the Oregon Caves NM. I'm afraid that Lassen is my least favorite California National Park. The shortcut off OR 62 coming from the south entrance of Crater Lake NP is Rt. 234 to Gold Hill. This avoids the traffic in Medford.
