Northern Cali Wine Country - Activities besides Wineries

40 year old couple in Napa area this weekend looking to fill in the blanks on a week trip. You can't drink wine for a week straight - well actually you can but we wont:)

Any unique things to do - we have the following covered - horseback riding, hot balloons, Cooking Demo CIA, Film Fest, in Eating!

Even if it's just a beautiful sight we would love to hear any suggestions.

Before anyone else tells you, Cali is a city in Columbia.
Northern California in the higher elevations is getting some snow this morning. You would stand a better chance of learning to ski at Mt. Shasta than finding a place to ride a horse IMO.
Check the weather to see if you want to go south of San Francisco on the coast as far as Monterey/Big Sur.

Try the Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino coast. Pt Reyes Natl. Seashore should be nice. Healdsburg in Sonoma Co.

There is something called Safari West. Pretty good experience.

I would definitely head over to the coast as Stu suggests. Beautiful.

If you enjoy hiking, there are several good state and county parks in the area - I see Suzie has mentioned that too.

Jack London's home in Sonoma is fascinating.
