North Rim or South rim

We are going out to Grand Canyon this summer...and want to see other sights besides Grand Canyon.....should we go North Rim or South Rim??

North Rim = More forested areas, less amenities, hotels, restauarnts, etc, LESS PEOPLE.

South Rim = Reverse everything from the North Rim...plus more of the "traditional" Grand Canyon trip

What other sights do you want to see? The South Rim is more convenient to Flagstaff and Phoenix; the North Rim is better for a combined trip to Utah national parks.

For the grand canyon views that you see on TV, etc. go to the South Rim. I have been to both and South Rim is far superior in views for some reason. That would be precisely why it is where the tourists go!

I prefer the South Rim of the Grand Canyon because I think you get more magnificant views, but if you wanted to go to Zion National Park, Byrce National Park and Glen Canyon National Recreational Area (Lake Powell) then I would go to the N. Rim.

The N. Rim is less crowded too.

Utahtea
