North Forest Beach vs. South Forest Beach

My girlfriends and I (5 of us), all in our late twenties, are trying to figure out which end of Forest Beach we want to stay in. We just want to be able to go to the beach, drink, go to bars and restaurants, etc. Suggestions?? Not sure if that would be North Forest Beach or if it would be South Forest Beach.

Help!

Forest Beach where? Is that Myrtle?

It's Hilton Head. The biggest difference between the 2 is that SFB is mostly condos and a couple of hotels and NFB is mostly single family homes. We prefer NFB as we like to rent a house and it's got a nice residential feel to it, but the actual beach is the same for both.

If you can be walking distance to Coligny Circle, you'll have a good number of bars/restaurants nearby.

Yes, Hilton Head. Thanks Brian in Charlotte! Where do most college people go?

We've seen a good number of college aged people in both SFB and NFB in May around when school gets out. Some bigger groups will rent big party houses in NFB, but that's fairly rare - usually it's families. If you can swing a house in NFB, I'd do that, but if you can only do a condo, SFB is great too. The key I think will be to try to be close to the action around Coligny Circle. And when I say close, ideally within walking distance as it's tough to get around on bikes after dark and even driving can be a challenge for those unfamiliar with the area (there are no street lights on HHI).
