"Normal" priced hotel in the Hamptons?

Ok, sounds like a ridiculous question, right? Anyway, I will be attending a wedding in Sagaponack the weekend of September 8th. I'm trying to find a hotel, within a 30 minute drive, somewhere around $150. Is it possible? Any ideas?

The Hamptons have very few hotels mostly inns/B&Bs, motels or condo rentals.

Your nearest towns are East Hampton and Bridgehampton - which are almost all Inns - and I don;t think $150 is going to do it. (A 30 minute drive is not very far since there's tons of traffic and only one main road.)

But it is the week after Labor Day - so perhaps you have a chance. Unfortunately, many of those places have a 2 night minimum. I would google inns in those towns and start calling. (Don;t the people hosting the wedding have any suggestions - or a list for guests?)

Just to expand on what nytraveler said, usually when a couple has invited a lot of out-of-town guests, they make some sort of arrangements for them. Usually in the form of reserving a block of rooms somewhere. I understand that, because it's not an area with big hotels, that may not work there. But I would think they'd make some effort to help with accomodations.

There's a list, I'm just trying to be more economical. I have found something possibly for $175, I'm still working on it.
