Non Stop Flight From Chicago to Maui

Anyone know of a non stop flight to Maui from Chicago ? I have not been able to find one. I know there used to be.

No ORD-OGG non-stop anymore, and AA is even discontinuing ORD-HNL in September. There will only be one single ORD-HNL left.

There is a non-stop from Chicago to Maui, unless they recently discontinued it. I just flew on it a few weeks ago! We flew on United from Charlotte to Chicago then Chicago non-stop to Maui. It was a nine hour flight.

And I just looked at their website and they still have it. It is around the same time every day, departing 10:00 AM, arriving 1:50 PM. Hope this helps!

Oh, sorry I gave the wrong information. UA3 is ORD-OGG-KOA-ORD daily on a 777 and is still running. The return flight won't be non-stop, and I believe it's because the runway at OGG is not long enough for a widebody to take off with enough fuel for a long flight back to ORD.

<..because the runway at OGG is not long enough for widebody...to ORD..>

Correct. A few years ago we flew DL from OGG to LAX (when they had the nonstop) on L1011. While still on the taxi way (!), pilot applied full throttle. We swung so hard onto the runway you literally leaned hard in your seat and could hear the tires squeal. [Had never experienced that before or since].

Co-pilot later came back to visit (this was obviously pre 9/11) and told us they could only load enough fuel to get to LAX and had to hit runway at full throttle due to short length of the runway.
