Non-kiddie lodgings in the Keys?

Hi! My wife and I are considering a trip to Miami and the Keys. We've done the "family" part of Florida (Orlando, etc.) And we had a blast! But now we're in the mood for a quiet, scenic, and relaxing time.

Can you recommend nice, clean hotels that have great pool/beach areas? We don't need water slides, jet ski rentals, or people yelling down the hall: "Conner! Courtney! NO RUNNING!"

We'd like to spend no more than $300 a night.

Thanks!

Generally speaking the Keys do not have great beaches. You might want to stay up in South Beach.

xxx: We're not sure which place in the Keys to stay yet. (I know - lame...but we're in the research phases right now.)

There are zillions of places to stay in the Keys. Look at Floridakeys.com to get a better feeling about what they all offer. "Anon" is correct about the beaches, they are almost all man made and very small and rocky.

Most B&B type places in Key West do not allow children.
