Non-buffet restaurants in Vegas
 

We will be visiting Las Vegas next week and would like recommendations on mid-price range restaurants. My hubby doesn't like buffets, although I'm sure we will sample at least one because it seems to be the thing to do. Are the brunch buffets better than dinner? Thanks for your help - this is a great forum!

for many years, one of my favorite places to eat on the Strip is the Peppermill. I stiop there for lunch or dinner every time I go to LV. It's located next to the Riviera in the 2500 block of Las Vegas Blvd. It's really both a restaraunt and lounge. The restaraunt serves super-size portions of very good food (not gourmet-just well prepared, satisfying meals). It is also not expensive.

The separate lounge is oriented around a firepit, has comfortable sofa-style seating as well as tables, and is kept fairly dark. If you can't kindle or rekindle a spark of romance there, you might need to stop trying.

I forgot to mention, it has been named the local's favorite non-casino restaraunt and lounge in several newspaper surveys in the past few years.

We were in Vegas last week and enjoyed the following meals: PJ Changs and the breakfast and dinner buffets in the Spice Market Cafe in the Aladdin hotel. (Zagat's rated the buffet highly and we agreed.) For our anniversary "special" dinner we ate at the Eiffel tower restaurant and that was also superb!!!! However that may not fit your "mid-priced" request.

We highly recommend the breakfast buffet in Paris but were disappointed in the Bellagio's lunch buffet. For other restaurants, the microbrewery in the Monte Carlo was good for lunch-good sandwiches and pizzas. We loved Onda in the Mirage and enjoyed Delmonicos Steakhouse in the Venetian for nicer meals.

Really enjoyed the Wolfgang Puck restaurant for lunch at MGM. Never had chicken salad that tasted like that before- unique combo. Companion had a delicious schnitzel- moderately priced.

I can't remember the name, but we had a great meal at the Chinese restaurant at the Flamingo Hotel.

We're staying at the Excalibur - and will have a rental car so we can drive if necessary. Looking forward to taking the new monorail! thanks everyone for your input!

Ceasars Forums has a number of non buffet restaurants. A few of them are Wolfgang Pucks places.
Olives can be reasonable if you don't drink much wine and order too much, we like salads and their little pizzas for lunch.
Mon Ami Gabi is excellent.
The Bellagio Cafe is great!
There are several places that I cannot remember the names of in the Venetian..all nice and not buffets.

I can never remember the name, but we go to it every time, is the mexican restaurant in the Venetian. Great food, excellent margaritas and fun to watch the gondolas. Lawry's for prime rib. Very good, but you would need a car. Enjoyed the dinner buffet at Paris.

Last week we were in Vegas and we enjoyed dinner buffet at 'The CourtYard'
in stratosphere and also enjoyed italian food in the "Food Court" of Venetian.

Oh, just want to add that the monorail was broken down twice during our stay!
