NOLA
Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Monaco In New Orleans?? It looks awesome but I don't know the neighborhoods.
We are planning Halloween weekend there. Surely 2 full days plus an evening arrival and afternoon departure should give us some flavor? Am I wrong? Coming from Phila. Any help/suggestions, much appreciated. |
We stayed at the Monaco about 1.5 years ago and loved it! It's a fun hotel. Beds were very comfy with lots of down pillows and comforter, bathroom nice and clean, you can ask for a companion goldfish to be placed in your room. Lobby is very pretty with its shell decor. We plan on heading back in June.
We preferred the restaurants in the French Quarter, which is a few blocks away, although I'm sure there are excellent ones all over. We just didn't know where. Have fun! |
Halloween is a VERY popular time in New Orleans, so you should make your reservations right away. It's possible there may be a minimum stay requirement.
I've never stayed at the Hotel Monaco but it gets good reviews...you could probably find out lots more information on it by doing a back search of this board. |
I just topped a fairly lenghty thread titled New Orleans Hotel & Cajun Country with a great deal of info about the Hotel Monaco for you.

Even two nights will give you a whole freaking lot of New Orleans flavor on Halloween. It's seriously hopping then. Have fun!
