Nogales restaruants

We are spending a few days in southwest Arizona this winter, and plan to go to Nogales, MX to shop for a day. Can anyone recommend restaruants? Or not???

Hi - I don't want to be a drag, but please be aware of the crime situation down there before you go, and take precautions.

It's been years since I was in Nogales, but I remember having lunch at a large, busy, very attractive restaurant about a block off the main shopping drag. I realize this is next to useless information, but I just wanted to make the point that its more than fine to dine in Nogales. It is also quite safe in the main shopping area, esp. during the day--take the same precautions against petty thieves such as purse-snatchers that you would just about anywhere and you'll be fine.

We last visited Nogales from a visit to Tucson about 3 years ago. I was surprised by the number of "pharmacies" that have popped up in the area.

We have eaten twice at a restaurant called " La Roca" which is a few minutes walk from the border. It is literally on the side of the hill. Any one can direct you towards it, since it appears to be popular with locals and tourists.
