NJ Transit...do kids pay to ride?

Hey guys...does anyone know with certainty whether or not I'll have to pay for my 4 and 7 year olds to ride the bus from Willowbrook to NYC Port Authority? I've always purchased the tickets at the machine (assuming I have to pay for them) but several parents recently told me that kids are free and that they've never paid. The website "pamphlets" show children's fares, so I'm confused as to why these parents weren't asked for their kids' tickets...?
