Any suggestions as to cheap airfare between Central NJ and Asheville NC?
I am seeing rates of $500-$600 , with a stop.

Melissa, you will probably find much cheaper rates flying into either Greenville/Spartanburg, SC or Charlotte, NC.

Greenville is about an hour to Asheville and Charlotte is 115 miles or two hours to Asheville. Lovely drive.

How is it possible that you guys have to pay $500-600 for a flight from NJ to Asheville when we Belgians only pay $500 flying from Brussels to S.Francisco ?Paul

Paul, we wonder the same thing. It's a pain to live near a smaller airport. Never a "good" fare to anywhere.

Melissa -- Asheville's airport is small (looks like a business park. Really!) and is not served by many airlines.

From Central NJ, you might also consider flying out of the Philly airport. Looks like prices are much closer to $200 into Asheville.
