Nikki's Cape Cod photos
I spent a few days at the Cape last weekend. Weather was beautiful and I took a few pictures, which are posted here:

Nikki-Very nice slideshow! But inquiring minds want to know. What's the camera and the lenses? Thanks.
Canon Rebel XTi with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens,a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens and a Canon EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 lens.
Nikki - You're still hanging on to that 75-300? ;)
Nikki: You might consider submitting some of your photos to Cape Cod Life and/or other Cape Publications.
Great shots! You have a nice eye for composition and color. Especially loved the dinghies shot.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Sure, rkkwan, I'll hold onto that lens as long as I can manage to lift it. |
Nikki,
I think Gene has a great idea! Cape Cod Life would love them- or you could publish them on the CapeCod.com site. I thought you might have been on Truro bayside-but then I saw the jetty, and thought no- but it's definitly outer bay, not harbor, tell us where!! Loved the picture of the Osprey's nest. They allowed you to get fairly close, it seems. Was that Wing Island?? Thanks for sharing. It was indeed a beautiful weekend. |
The beach pictures were taken at Sea Street Beach in East Dennis. The boats and osprey nest are at Gray's Beach in Yarmouthport.
I wasn't all that close to the nest; I used a long lens and then cropped it in close. There's a bench there at the beginning of the boardwalk that goes out into the marsh at the entrance to Barnstable Harbor, and it is a great spot for watching the osprey. |
My guess Dennis for the tidal shots, and Bass Hole for the boats and birds...
Ooops, must have posted my guess while you were responding....nice pix!
That's some good guessing then.
